We are pleased to help bring suicideTALK, a LivingWorks program to introduce suicide prevention to Brunswick, Georgia.  We are working in conjunction with Chatham County SafetyNet and Gateway Behaviorial Health Services of Brunswick.

 

suicideTALK is a suicide awareness session that helps participants understand the issue of suicide and how they can help to prevent it in their communities.

What is suicideTALK? suicideTALK is an excellent first step toward suicide prevention, it helps participants explore the issue of suicide, attitudes towards it, and how they can find ways to prevent it in their communities. The information provided will help participants:

 

 Understand how personal and community beliefs about suicide affect suicide stigma and safety.

 Appreciate how talking openly about suicide can help prevent it.

 Contribute to suicide safety by protecting, preserving, and promoting life in their communities.

 

Session Leaders:   Our 22 ASIST Trainers all come from organizations throughout Chatham & Glynn Counties; each completed a five-day course in suicide awareness and prevention to become certified by LivingWorks Suicide Awareness.
