After losing my son Jacob to suicide in January 2015, I felt the desire to form a charitable organization for suicide prevention. He was known as Bolin by his classmates, and was an avid gamer, who enjoyed reading super-hero graphic novels and watching the movies based on them.   

 

To honor Jacob, we formed Bolin's Heroes, Inc. with the plan to bring awareness of the warning signs of suicidal behavior to youth and young adults using a graphic novel format.  Our goal is to educate the peers of at-risk youth in order to give them the tools to seek treatment for those at-risk. 

 

Your support will help us collaborate with graphic artists to produce the novels and to create treatment options for at-risk youth.  We also plan to have programs to support suicide loss survivors.
